Wellbeing champions

The Lloyd’s Wellbeing Champion programme aims to create a number of champions from across the insurance market to raise awareness and reduce the stigma of mental health in the workplace.

The training aims to help champions to:

  • Understand why wellbeing and mental health is a business imperative
  • Develop a general awareness of mental health
  • Understand what it means to be a wellbeing champion within the insurance market
  • Understand how they can contribute to building a mentally healthy workplace in their organisations
  • Create a support network for each other
  • Develop a practice of self-care

Lloyd's Wellbeing Centre

The wellbeing centre is conveniently located in the upper basement of the Lloyd’s building in London

It offers an excellent range of medical services to the Lloyd’s community. There are two separate health providers within the Wellbeing Centre:

Blossoms Nurse service

Blossoms provides a prescribing nurse service that is available for Lloyd’s pass holders.

The nurse can provide free of charge consultations for a range of issues including advice and management for ill health and minor injuries, prescription arrangements depending on the type of health complaint (including repeated prescriptions), and travelling advice and vaccinations.

Health Response physical therapy and complementary medical service

Health Response physical therapy services are recognised by all the major insurers including AXA PPP and BUPA.

The team of therapists offer a range of treatments including: physiotherapy, osteopathy, massage, acupuncture, nutritional advice and stress management services.

Wellbeing events

Every year, Lloyd’s arranges a programme of free events that are open to the market. Members of the Lloyd's community are invited to attend a series of workshops and webinars, delivered to support you to be healthy and fit with optimum levels of energy and resilience. These practical and reality-based sessions are tailored to address the challenges you face and offer an opportunity to reflect on your current physical and mental health.
